Wedding Content Curated Just for You!
The first look is a highly popular addition to many wedding day timelines. The FIRST LOOK or sneak peek is the moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day. No guests, no distractions. It is a very special moment you get to share (a private moment we have the honor of capturing) with little to no interruptions.
Unlike the traditional reveal where the bride walks down the aisle to her anxious groom, the FIRST LOOK is a romantic, extra special moment when you see each other just before you say "I do". You have time to pause, look into each other’s eyes, and take in your wedding day in a very genuine way. All your worries, overwhelm, and anxiety melt away as you hold each other. A few relaxing moments to share your joy with each other and finally breathe a little. During these moments you aren't thinking about what might go wrong and all your insecurities fade away. This is a time to savor your wedding day.
1. THE GROOM
Normally the groom is very anxious. He's worried about a lot of things. Some grooms are worried about holding in their emotions so all the guests don't see them cry.
Some grooms are extremely nervous about seeing their bride for the first time. So many expectations.
The FIRST LOOK allows the groom an opportunity to calm his nerves, so he can enjoy the ceremony.
2) THE MOMENT YOUR EYES MEET
The first look captures the initial reaction of the bride and groom and allows the two to act naturally when seeing each other for the first time. You can cry, laugh, hug, kiss, and just simply be in the moment without having all your guests around. This not only yields beautiful one-of-a-kind images but will also leave you with some spare time to capture a few more couple’s images just after this tender moment.
The sneak peek is ideal because you both will be looking your best. Your hair and makeup is still perfectly in place and gives you time to do any touch-ups before the ceremony. Including the FIRST LOOK in your timeline also affords us the opportunity to focus on capturing the reactions of some of the guests as the bride makes her way down the aisle during the ceremony, which is often missed because the focus is usually on the bride and groom’s expression and reactions to one another. Finally, the sneak peek is one of the best ways to eliminate any of the wedding day jitters. Since you have already had the emotional part of seeing each other for the first time, you are just more relaxed in general.
3) THE VOWS
Many couples use this quiet, romantic moment to share their vows with each other. This means you get to write the most personal vows. The most romantic vows. Funny vows that you couldn't share in front of your guests. You get to laugh and cry, hug and kiss....all the things you wouldn't do in front of your guests.
The FIRST LOOK sounds wonderful, doesn't it!!!?
Let us know if you have questions, we're here to help.
4) FAST TRACK TO THE RECEPTION
With a traditional reveal we cannot get any pictures of the couple together or with their families as a couple. When the couple chooses a FIRST LOOK, we are able to get the majority of their photos accomplished before the wedding which leaves more time for fun at the receiption.
