A Wonderful Life, Indeed.

Hey, y'all! I was sitting here going through an album from a shoot we did this week, and it got me all in my feelings.

I am sincerely grateful we get to do what we love. You know that old saying by Mark Twain, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life?" Well, it's absolutely true. Most days, even the stressful ones, I am just elated that we have been blessed with the opportunity to not only do what we love, but to serve our community while doing it.

Week after week we welcome into our studio, client's from in and around our county. Some are eager to have their photo made, others not so much. From the newest bundles of joy to the older and more seasoned, we look forward to them all. Each one is part of something bigger - a photographic documentation of lives beginning and lives lived. That is the essence of photography. The creation of amazing photographic works of art are our honor and privilege to bring to life.

Christmas is coming on fast and the orders are flooding in for prints and other products. What's the first thing I think? WOW! WHAT AN HONOR it is that our photography is going to hang on so many walls and is being wrapped for Christmas gifts to loved ones. What an honor, and what a wonderful life we have been blessed with.

In this Christmas season where hope abounds and love is put on display through gift-giving and time-honored traditions with those we love, may we all focus on the things that make it so incredibly wonderful. Family, friends, blessings, success, challenges that grow us....and most importantly, God's only son who came into this world as a baby and as a man, died for us all. What a wonderful life, indeed.

Merry Christmas to you all. We look forward to an amazing 2021 as we photograph more of your life events and fun, sweet moments that you wouldn't take anything for.

xoxo, Rexanne

Matthew 1:18-25

"These are the facts concerning the birth of Jesus Christ: His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But while she was still a virgin she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph, her fiancé, being a man of stern principle,* decided to break the engagement but to do it quietly, as he didn’t want to publicly disgrace her.

As he lay awake considering this, he fell into a dream, and saw an angel standing beside him. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “don’t hesitate to take Mary as your wife! For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a Son, and you shall name him Jesus (meaning ‘Savior’), for he will save his people from their sins. This will fulfill God’s message through his prophets—

‘Listen! The virgin shall conceive a child! She shall give birth to a Son, and he shall be called “Emmanuel” (meaning “God is with us”).’”

When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel commanded and brought Mary home to be his wife, but she remained a virgin until her Son was born; and Joseph named him “Jesus.”
