WHO is Southern Exposures Photography? We are Jason and Rexanne Collins, a husband and wife photography team.
About Jason
Portrait photogrpahy has always been my passion. I really enjoy capturing moments in time for my clients to cherish for years to come. Anyone can take a picture but it takes passion and committment to your art form to be able to create something worthy of being displayed in someone's home. That is my goal, to produce photographic wall art for everyone who stands in front of my lens.
I got my first camera in 1985 and a love for capturing compelling images began. Most of my high school and college weekends were spent shooting sporting events and in the darkroom developing pictures. My first "real job" was working as a traveling photographer. I shot kids, senior portraits, proms, families, church directories, etc., throughout the mid-south. I also managed several portrait studios in the Memphis, Tennessee area in the 1990's.
About Rexanne
Going above and beyond for people is my passion. While I have loved photography for as long as I can remember, it was just a hobby until recent years.
I love combining images from a custom session with my obsession for creating the most perfect image possible. It's more than a photoshoot. It's more than posing and props. It's an opportunity to create works of art. It's a chance to capture a moment that can be relived again and again over the years.
I love creating unique images that our clients can use in their homes as decor. Because we offer high-quality prints and wall decor, we can turn amazing images into beautiful canvases or framed wall art. That's right up my alley. I've always liked the finer things and prints and wall decor are no exception.
For me, it's definitely about creating. Creating amazing experiences from start to finish and seeing expressions of amazement on our clients' faces.
WHERE is Southern Exposures Photography? Your professional photographers, Jason and Rexanne Collins, live and work in Calhoun City, MS. We do travel for events, weddings, etc. and are excited to serve Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. We also shoot destination weddings.
WHAT type of photographs can I expect from Southern Exposures Photography? We serve a wide range of photography needs from studio photography to outdoor photoshoots including senior portraits, high school athlete portraits, quince, head-shots, engagement photos, lifestyle/life events such as birthdays, anniversaries, holiday shoots, empowering/boudoir sessions (ex -cancer survivors, domestic violence survivors, mothers and daughters, etc.), bridal boudoir and maternity.
